Dr Krzysztof Skawiańczyk - advocate

His legal education includes both the studies in Poland and abroad. In 1991-1997 he studied law at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. In 1994 – 1995 studied law at RUHR – Universiät in Bochum thanks to the scholarship granted by Friedrich – Ebert Stiftung Foundation. His study in Germany concentrated on commercial law and law of companies. During his scholarship in Germany he passed numerous exams concerning commercial law and law of companies with good or very good results. In the course of studies he actively participated in seminars on law of companies, including the seminar in 1995 in Winterberg (Partnerships in legal orders of Central European countries) as well as in 1997 in Heidelberg (Limited liability company in organization in Polish and German legal systems). His Master's thesis titled “Raising and reduction of opening capital in limited liability company” was written under the supervision of Prof. Ireneusz Weiss, defended in 1997 and graded very good. Having graduated, he successfully managed to reconcile professional career with scientific interests in the field of private economic law. In May 2008, having defended his Doctor's Dissertation titled “Raising share capital in limited liability company”, the Council of Law and Administration Faculty of the Jagiellonian University awarded him the scientific title of Doctor in the field of private economic law.

Having completed legal studies he went on to acquire professional qualifications. In 1999 he was entered into the register of advocate apprentices held by the Circuit Chamber of Advocates in Cracow. In 2003 he passed his Bar Exam and was admitted as advocate in 2003.

Krzysztof Skawiańczyk, Advocate, provides legal services in the scope of civil and penal laws. However, he specializes in widely recognized commercial law, specifically in law of companies and law of economic relations, including real estate law. His professional practice also includes legal representation of his Clients in penal proceedings concerning offences against economic relations as well as litigation before courts both in penal and civil proceedings

. He has broad professional experience in the above-mentioned areas of procedural and substantive laws. He has been providing legal services to numerous Polish and international companies as well as to individual Clients. Besides his professional practice he is also preoccupied with publishing activity in professional magazines.  So far he has published one book and several articles, which include: “Raising opening capital using the method of capitalization of reserves”, Commercial Law Review, 1999, issue no. 10; “Raising opening capital through conversion of claims” part I and II, Legal Monitor, 2000, issue no. 2 and 3; “Executing obligation to pay dividend and company income  from gratuitous service”, Legal Monitor, November 2001; “Debtor’s rights transferred to creditor”, Rzeczpospolita Gazette, 2nd April, 2004. He speaks German and English fluently. 

In the course of his professional career he worked as a lawyer in numerous well-established, renowned law firms. In 1997 - 1999 practiced in a law firm "Labe i Wspólncy s.c." in Cracow. In 1998 worked for an American law firm "Backer & McKenzie”. In 1999 – 2001 he worked in “Forystek, Góralczyk, Rychlicki Law Firm” in Cracow and in 2001 – 2003 in “Forystek, Góralczyk, Rychlicki, Budzowska, Fiutowski, Jamorski Advocates and Legal Advisers Partnership”. In 2003 he was a founder of Law Office Kancelaria Adwokacka Krzysztof Skawiańczyk in Cracow. Since 2005, a founder and a Partner in Skawiańczyk & Stanek Advocates and Legal Advisers Partnership.

Przemysław Stanek - Legal Adviser

In 1991-1997 he studied law at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. His Master's thesis under the title “The right to a fair lawsuit in the light of jurisdiction of the European Committee of Human Rights” was defended in 1997 and graded very good. In 1998 – 2001 he served a judicial apprenticeship at the District Court in Bielsko-Biała completed with a passed judicial examination. In 2002 - 2005 he was entered into the register of legal advisers apprentices held by the Circuit Chamber of Legal Advisers in Katowice. In 2005 he passed his Bar Examination and in the same year he was admitted as legal adviser. In the course of his professional practice he participated in numerous courses and trainings, including National Conference “Law in Legal Advisers’ Practice” organized in 1999 in Zakopane, by Business Training Centre in Lublin, A&A Polańska registered partnership, and National Conference “Mergers and Capital Takeovers” organized by ELSA – The European Law Students’ Association, in 2002 in Cieszyn.

The course of professional employment:
In 1997 – 2002 he worked as a lawyer in state enterprises as well as in private companies. In 2001 – 2003 he exercised an independent function of Court Supervisor at the District Court in Bielsko-Biała in proceedings for an arrangement with creditors of commercial entities. In 2003 – 2005 he was employed in Law Office “LEX” Jerzy Nawrocki in Bielsko-Biała; he represented Clients in lawsuits at all instances before common courts as well as Court of Arbitration at The Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw, proceedings before a Group of Arbitrators at Public Procurement Office. In the course of his employment in the above-mentioned law office he was mainly preoccupied with providing services to economic entities. In 2005 he established an individual Law Office Kancelaria Radcy Prawnego Przemysław Stanek in Cracow. Since 2005, a founder and a Partner in Skawiańczyk & Stanek Advocates and Legal Advisers Partnership.

He specializes in widely recognized law of commercial companies, civil law and administrative proceedings. He has extensive experience in the scope of creating investment agreements for foreign investors in commercial law companies in Poland, especially in the fields of telecommunication and information technology. In his professional career he has gained great experience in legal representation at lawsuits, especially in business law proceedings. He has represented entrepreneurs in bankruptcy and reorganization proceedings as well as he has performed services to businesses in liquidation proceedings. He also provides services to individual Clients, especially in real estate matters. He has basic working knowledge of English.
